A pure portrait by femble with Sophie Jongejan

1. What do you love about yourself?

ahaha good question :)

I would say my sense of humour and my imagination.

For me, laughter is the easiest, cheapest and best medicine.  Even more when you’re capable to laugh about yourself. And I’m a total daydreamer. I sew tales & stories in the tiniest moment of life. I used to hide it when I was younger until the day I realized it was one of my greatest weapon.

2. What is your favourite quote?

“In all chaos there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order.” - Carl Jung

3. What is the best advise someone has given to you?

Remember that you have zero control on what people think about you & how they react, so just be whoever you want to be.

4. What does well-being mean to you?

It’s a place in your soul where you are profoundly comfortable. A state of being when you’re able to experience and integrate every bits of life - positive or negative. Compassion, self care, patience & resilience are values infused in my personal wellbeing. It’s about understanding that your inner universe shapes your outer universe.

5. You have an evening to yourself. What does it look like?

It looks like Cleopatra’s about to go to the spa - ahaha

I turn off all the lights &light up the whole house with candles. I spend a whole evening pampering &nurturing my body by a complete sensorial experience in the bathroom. Long milky flowery bath, body scrubs, gentle music & hair/face masks - everything that my body needs in the now. A pure self-care healing moment.

6. What are your three favourite books ?

(honestly there are so many so I’ll just pop the three first ones that come to my mind)

The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz

The Sophia Code by Kaia Ra

Mary Magdalene Revealed by Meggan Watterson

(+ all books of poems by Hafez)

7. What habit have you incorporated into your daily life over the past few years the has changed your life?

Waking up early. Short & sweet kundalini meditations. My diet (vegetarian) which completely shifted for the best my immune system. Tongue scraping but mostly mostly mostly : slow living.

I flow depending of the season. My business, my social life, everything is in sync with the seasons.  I do not rush anymore, just like nature & yet, everything is accomplished.

8. What advice would you give to your younger self?

You will outgrow a lot of people when you start doing what’s best for you - and that’s ok, don’t beat yourself up.

9. What obstacle did you have to overcome to become who you are today?

Life :)

a simple story of a spirit being having a human experience - like all of us here :)

10. What do you do when you’re not feeling well ? Do you have certain self-care activated that help you ground yourself again?

I hit the pause button.

Take a step back in order to see what is not making me feel so well.

I stay away from the screens &social activity of any kind. Eat extra healthy but still allowing myself to indulge in comfort food (pasta !), sleep more than usual and mostly… spend a lot lot lot lot of time gardening (my ultimate meditative sanctuary). And my extra bonus healing balm : traveling - nothing beats the joy of discovering unknown places. I feel most creatively fulfilled when I am surrounded by inspiring objects in inspiring places with inspiring people & we share the fruits of life together.
